How this is priced. Plate recognition is a metered third-party service — we pay roughly $0.75–$1.50 per 1,000 reads to Plate Recognizer depending on our aggregate volume. Managed OCR prices cover that cost, our proxy infrastructure, the audit meter, Stripe fees, and a modest amount of support time. We don't try to make a profit on OCR itself — it's an add-on that exists to make Patrol turn-key.
